Orders and payment

If you know what you would like, and want to place an order, please make contact as soon as possible, and no later than two weeks before the cake is required. Ideally, I prefer to have orders in place at least three weeks ahead. This enables me to shop for the fresh ingredients or specialist equipment, handcraft any decorations / figurines (which may need to be made in stages with drying time in between), make and decorate the cake.
On receiving an order request, I will check availability and let you know if I can meet your requirements.
It helps me to create a design if you can find a picture, sketch your idea, or at least describe what you would like. However, if you'd like a cake, but need some inspiration with the design, do contact me and we'll come up with something to exceed your expectations! If you would like to receive a no-obligation-to-buy quote, simply email or tell me your idea and I will estimate a price. Please note, if we need time to work together to confirm a design, this needs to be finalised at least two weeks ahead.
I will require a non refundable deposit on ordering to the amount of 50% of the order price; this secures your date in my diary. This amount will, of course, be deducted from your final bill on collection/delivery. For deposits, I accept payment via Paypal, direct bank transfer, cash or cheque. The remainder of the cost (paid in cash, please) can be settled on collection / delivery, with the exception of wedding cakes where the balance must be paid no later than one calendar month before the wedding day. I am afraid I do not accept debit/credit card payments.  Please make cheques payable to Amy Nolan.
